Important Changes to the 2020 ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer

For years our ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer have been a symbol of hope and support for our community. We have walked in rain, wind, sleet and sunshine, always with the same goal in mind, to support services for cancer patients.

We know that for many, concerns about COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus, are top of mind. The safety of our patients and our community remains the top priority for us. While much remains unknown about the COVID-19 virus, we want to be vigilant. We also recognize that many of our Walks participants and their families are part of the most susceptible audience to this virus.

To promote the safety and well-being of our participants, the 2020 ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer will be held as a unified, virtual event. In lieu of large gatherings in three communities, we welcome you to walk with your closest supporters in a location that’s safe for you.  Whether from your home, neighborhood, or favorite trails, you can tune in digitally to hear messages of hope and courage from our ambassadors and cancer specialists. The program and festivities held at the parks have been cancelled, but we hope you will still walk, support cancer services and join us digitally at Please visit our FAQs page for more details about what to expect with this virtual walk.

We will extend our early bird pricing through May 31, allowing you to register for the virtual Walk for just $25*. To honor the governor’s #SaferAtHome mandate through May 26, we are pleased to announce this year's t-shirts will be mailed to our registered participants. Please stay tuned for specific details related to the timing.

The Walks for Cancer remain a significant part of our community, and an important fundraising component for the cancer services we provide. We hope that despite this year’s event changes, you will still unite with us to support cancer prevention, treatment and research. You can continue to fundraise and earn incentives through your outreach.

Watch for more important updates via our website,, as well as through email and our Facebook page.

If you would prefer a refund rather than participating in the virtual event, please contact us at 262-928-9255 or via email.

Who will you walk for? A family member, friend or co-worker?

Together, we can make a difference for our community. Since the Walks for Cancer began, people just like you have helped us raise more than $7.4 million. All proceeds stay in Waukesha County to help fight cancer through research, education and support services. People from across Waukesha County and beyond join together to support cancer services at ProHealth Care. Funds raised at these events stay here in Waukesha County to have a direct impact on the lives of our patients each day.
