Patient Support Programs: Funding helps provide integrative therapies and support groups that guide patients and families through every step of their cancer journey. Fact: ProHealth Care is one of the only sites in our region offering free counseling for patients, their caregivers, and even their children. Cancer care extends far beyond advanced treatments; we care for the whole person, supporting healthy minds, healthy bodies, and healthy spirits.                                                                                                               

Research Efforts: Clinical trials are a cornerstone of advancing patient care and treatment for they provide patients with access to cutting-edge therapies and innovative approaches that are not yet widely available. Fact: ProHealth Care is currently conducting 117 active cancer clinical trials across a wide range of cancer types.       

Advanced Technology: Donor support helps accelerate the adoption of innovations that enhance patient care and outcomes, including acquiring advanced equipment that enables more precise diagnostics and more effective treatments. Fact: Last year, ProHealth became one of the first health systems in the state to offer Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) screening. ABUS is the first FDAapproved supplemental ultrasound technology designed specifically to detect cancer in women with dense breast tissue. In clinical studies, this technology has identified cancers that mammography alone can miss. According to the FDA, when used alongside mammography, ABUS can increase breast cancer detection by more than 35 percent!
